🏀 Gregg Popovich Not Expected to Return This Season

What to know: Early in November Spurs head coach and all-around legend Gregg Popovich suffered a mild stroke and was sidelined from the team. His timetable to return was uncertain but now more news has come out.

It was announced yesterday that the Spurs would be without their head coach for the remainder of the season after not yet fully recovering. The NBA’s regular season win leader (1,412) is a joy to watch on the sideline, on the podium, and in the huddle, and to see this is quite sad.

The Spurs just lost Victor Wembanyama for the year, and now this news is not calming for the team. Mitch Johnson will continue to assume the head coaching roles on an interim position.

Prayers up to Coach Pop and hoping for a full recovery! Hopefully, we can see him on the sideline to start the 2025-26 season!
