1️⃣5️⃣ Friday Fifteen - Guess Who's Writing a Book?!

To choose just one thing to highlight today would be a disservice to sports in general. There’s so much to discuss, react to, and preview across MANY different sports. Let’s start…in Toronto!

1. ⚾️ The Toronto Blue Jays are 1 game away from winning the World Series. The series heads back to Toronto tonight with the Jays up 3 games to 2. It was a statement 6-1 win in Game 5 that has brought them this close. If tonight is the last game of the season, what a ride it has been! It’ll be on at 8 PM tonight on FOX.
   

2. 📖 There’s a book coming out in July of 2026. It’s a Halloween themed book called “Happy Spooky Halloween”. I’m sure you’re thinking…’Well Stump admin, why the heck are we talking about a book right now?’ The author of said book who took to Instagram to announce it’s release…LeBron James! This guy, man! I thought I saw him with a pen the other day on the Lakers bench! This must have been why!
   

3. 🏈 Thursday Night Football! Lamar was back, and even though he didn’t scramble a whole lot after his hamstring injury, the Ravens were able to take advantage of miscue after miscue from the Dolphins. The Ravens are now 3-5 and despite the losing record, are the odds on favorite to win the AFC North! Crazy! As for Miami, it was worlds apart from how they looked last week against Atlanta when Tua threw 4 TDs. The boo birds were out in numbers last night! Ravens win, 28-6.
   

4. 🏀 The 2026 Women’s Basketball HOF class was announced yesterday. The headliners of the class include Candace Parker, Elena Delle Donne, and Cheryl Reeve.
   

5. 🏒 The Colorado Avalanche inked forward Martin Necas to a 8-year, $92 Million deal. They acquired Necas in the blockbuster trade with Carolina which included Mikko Rantanen. The Avs have secured their guy.
   

6. 🏀 NBA Standings Check: We’ve got 4 undefeated teams left after a week of ball! OKC Thunder (6-0), SA Spurs (5-0), CHI Bulls (4-0), PHI 76ers (4-0)

9. 🏈 Aidan Hutchinson is a cornerstone of Detroit! It was solidified with a 4-year, $180 Million extension yesterday.
   

10. 🏒 In their debut rebrand year, the Utah Mammoth have opened the year as one of the hottest teams in the NHL. The are 8-3 and tied with the Winnipeg Jets for the best record in the West. The best record belongs to who else but the New Jersey Devils who are 8-2!
    

11. ⚾️ The Twins have hired their new head man. Derek Shelton will take over the reigns after spending the last 6 years with the Pirates. 
    

12. 💰️ As more and more comes out about the shocking gambling scandals in the NBA, it has been announced that Terry Rozier and Chauncey Billups will not be paid while on leave.
    

13. 🤕 Coming off their bad loss against the Jets, it seems like the Bengals may have to suit up without their QB Joe Flacco. He is listed as Questionable for their game against the Chicago Bears. If he cannot go, it will be back to Jake Browning for the week.
    

14. 🟣 LSU parts ways with Athletic Director Scott Woodward. This comes just one day after Louisiana governor Jeff Landry said that Woodward would not be involved in the hiring of the next Head Coach for the Tigers.
