Bowl Games. Lots, and lots, of Bowl Games!

Fenway Wasabi Bowl, North Carolina vs UConn: What a day to be a fan of the UCONN HUSKIES! UConn won its first Bowl Game since 2010 over UNC, 27-14! Fenway Bowl MVP Joe Fagnano seemed in control all game, throwing for 151 yards and 2 TDs! Jim Mora and the Huskies have officially turned a page and it’s exciting for all of those in Storrs, CT! A lot ahead for UNC in the coming months, but yesterday it was all HUSKIES!

Pinstripe Bowl, Boston College vs Nebraska: This game was 20-2 with about 7 minutes left in the fourth quarter. BC couldn’t get anything going all day! 2 TDs late made it a much more respectable 20-15 loss for BC, for a loss nonetheless. Dylan Raiola threw for 228 yards and a TD in the win and his celebration victory lap looked eerielie similar to a Mahomes run. It’s actually weird! Nebraska wins, 20-15! (Tell me this isn’t Patrick Mahomes)

New Mexico Bowl, Louisiana vs TCU: Talk about an absolute BLUDGEONING! From start to finish this one was all Horned Frogs! TCU defeated the Ragin Cajuns, 34-3, behind a stellar performance from their QB Josh Hoover! He threw for 252 yards and became the all-time leader for scrimmage yards in a single season for TCU! Great win for Sonny Dykes and the squad!

Pop-Tarts Bowl, Iowa State vs Miami: If you were looking for Touchdowns, this was your game! At the end of the first quarter Iowa State was up 21-14! At the half Miami then TOOK THE LEAD 31-28! This was a game of two teams who had remarkable regular seasons but still fell just short of the College Football Playoff. Many people believed Miami played itself out of the bracket with some bad losses down the stretch. It was Iowa State QB Rocco Becht who rushed up the middle for a 1-yard score with 56 seconds remaining in the game. Despite all the heroics we had seen from the Hurricanes all year, 56 seconds was not enough to come from behind yet again. Iowas State got the win in a 42-41 SLUGFEST!

Valero Alamo Bowl, BYU vs Colorado: Somehow, this game started 27-0 BYU and the first highlight that was posted on social media was the Travis Hunter TD that cut the lead to 20. The Heisman will do that to social media pages! BYU showed why they were one of the best of the rest in this absolute beatdown of Colorado! RB LJ Martin had 126 total yards with 2 TDs on the ground! A great season for BYU ended in a massive 36-14 win!
