Yesterday we talked about the magic of the METS and the Dodgers, today we flip the script! We’re talking Phillies and Padres.
Yesterday it seemed like the script was written again! After being down 6-4 going into the Ninth, the Mets were down to their final three outs and did exactly what they’ve done all postseason. Mark Vientos came. up and hit a two-run BOMB to tie the game. Unfortunately for them. We are in Red October. The bottom of the ninth features the studs of the Phillies lineup. A Trae Turner single followed by a Bryce Harper walk allowed Nick Castellanos to come up and finish the story! 7-6 final in Philly! Series tied up 1-1!
The Padres on the other hand did not leave any doubt. They tied their postseason record for Home Runs in a postseason game with SIX! Two of them were from Fernando Tatis Jr. It’s officially a series in Cali. All knotted up at 1 a piece!
