To choose just one thing to highlight today would be a disservice to sports in general. There’s so much to discuss, react to, and preview across MANY different sports. Let’s start…in Toronto!

  1. ⚾️ 🇨🇦 The Blue Jays will host Game 1 of the World Series tonight against the LA Dodgers. It’s the reigning champs, the team people are calling a super team, vs an entire Nation! The Blue Jays haven’t been in the World Series since 1993. Game 1 is tonight at 8:00 PM on FOX! Now to OKC…

  2. 🏀 🏆️ The OKC Thunder have started the NBA season 2-0 with not one, BUT TWO DOUBLE-OT GAMES to start the year! Unreal! The Thunder had their banner raising ceremony on Tuesday when they hosted the Rockets (who looked very good btw), and then faced the Pacers last night. Both tough matchups, but the Thunder are 2-0 and look like they haven’t missed a beat! What’s happening in Portugal?

  3. 🇵🇹 ⚽️ Not great news from the US Women’s National Team, but they dropped a game to Portugal for the first time ever last night in what was Alex Morgan’s farewell. The Americans scored just 33 seconds in, but ended up on the wrong side of a 2-1 loss. Uh oh…there’s news from….the casino?!?

  4. 👮🏀 Massive headlines struck the sports world yesterday when two separating gambling scandals were pinned down by the FBI. Terry Rozier was arrested from rigging prop bets from last year, and even bigger, Portland Trail Blazers Head Coach Chauncey Billups was arrested for illegal activities within a Poker ring that had ties to the Mafia. No, that is not a typo. We’re still waiting for a little more, BUT WOW! From that let’s switch gears to outer space!

  5. 👽️ There’s an alien to report, and his name is Victor Wembanyama. Oh my god did he look good in the Spurs debut on Wednesday against the Mavs. He was going against one of the better defensive lineups in the league, and he looked unstoppable. The Spurs crushed the Mavs behind 40 and 15 from Wemby, and 22, 7, and 6 from Stephon Castle! Watch out for the Spurs! Something tells me Wemby might be a Top 3 MVP candidate this year…IS THAT CRAZY?!?! Ok. Off to LA…

  6. ⚡️ The Chargers needed a reset game, and that’s what they got last night in Thursday Night Football. The Chargers beat the breaks off of a BAD looking Vikings team. Chargers 34, Vikings 10. If Oronde Gadsden II has not been picked up in your fantasy league…pick him up immediately. Quick schedule check…

  7. 🏈 Best NFL Sunday Matchups: Giants @ Eagles, Bears @ Ravens, Cowboys @ Broncos

  8. 🏈 Best CFB Saturday Matchups: UCLA @ (2) Indiana, (8) Ole Miss @ (13) Oklahoma, (4) Alabama @ South Carolina, (15) Missouri @ (10) Vanderbilt

  9. 🧀 We’ve got a helluva Sunday Night Matchup in the NFL, and it all revolves around the old man. The Packers are heading to Pittsburgh to face off against Aaron Rodgers. Both of these teams have had great starts to the season, and this would be a great mid season win! If this was in Lambeau that’d be even cooler, but this will do. When asked about it all, Rodgers said that he will one day retire a Packer. Ok, realizing now that 15 was a lot, let’s rapid fire these next few….

  10. ⚽️ Inter Miami extends Messi through the 2028 season. I don’t know how, but I have to get myself to an Inter Miami game while the guy is still active!

  11. 🏀 Because of the now vacancy with the Trail Blazers, they have named Tiago Splitter the Interim Head Coach.

  12. 🏀 In regard to his Game 1 performance Cooper Flagg said that it “Wasn’t great”. He had a tough matchup going against Castle and Wemby, but there were flashes! Looking forward to seeing what he’s got this year. Still cannot believe he is only 18🤯

  13. 🔔 PHILLY! Embiid may not be the guy you want him to be, but my god are you guys churning out superstar rookies! VJ Edgecomb put up an absurd 34 points in his debut, the third most by a rookie ALL-TIME! Nobody else in the Top 5 of the list is from the last 50 years!

  14. 🟣 The LeBronless Lakers lost their opener against the Warriors, but Luka looked good. He ended with a light 43 points, 12 rebounds, and 9 assists! It’s going to be an assimilation period with Deandre Ayton, but the Lakers have a chance to be good.

  15. 🌳 The only thing to say here at 15 is that if you like the Stump, send this link to a friend and tell them to subscribe! Also, if you have gotten all the way down here, go click that blue link in the ad up above! The Stump is free, but just clicking that link will help keep the lights on over here 😄
